Unique, non-corporate, well-established, (over 40 years), and still growing small animal practice with greater than 50% of practice revenue generated providing general and advanced surgical services located in Montana, arguably America's last best place.
Candidates for a full-time position should consider:
Excellent demographics: Billings has major medical centers, three colleges and universities, diverse energy, agricultural, retail and wholesale distribution centers. All of which support an employed, educated, well-grounded and bonded wonderful community of clients, and a nearly recession-proof economy. Billings can boast of being on a list of top small cities in America to live and raise a family. World-class outdoor recreation opportunities surround us, and the arts are well represented.
We have a large caseload with over 17,000 patient visits in 2023 and excluding minor surgery procedures, we performed about 1000 general, orthopedic, and spinal surgeries. Our caseload provides a high earning potential due to our shared-case earnings opportunity, and a pro-sal of 22% over base paid monthly. Paid vacation, CE, dues and licensing, etc. provided and flexible scheduling for quality time off is a priority for all.
We provide advanced surgical services, but also employ veterinarians without those strong interests. Orthopedic services include all types of fracture repair and joint surgeries up to and including total hip replacements. Spinal surgeries include routine cervical, and T-L IVDD’s, and more advanced procedures, virtually all with advanced imaging. Most soft tissue surgeries are provided, and a robust dental service is supported with radiography and well-trained technicians.
Our very well-equipped hospital has top drawer instrumentation, vast implant inventory, and various scopes. We have therapeutic ultrasound, lasers, PRP, stem cell therapy, and Montana's first underwater treadmill, (est. 2004).
Case management diagnostic and treatment intensity is high with a nearly 6 times office visit fee average transactions.
You would be working with experienced staff dedicated to patient care. Management is in-house, not a distant corporation, seasoned and effective. All our veterinarians have at least 10 years clinical experience, and the three DVMs offering advanced surgery services have advanced training and a combined 100 years of surgical experience. Support staff is top notch with multiple CVT’s and capable, willing assistants. Our current support staff to full-time DVM ratio is 5.7 to 1.
We are looking for a DVM with a great attitude, the ability to work well with others, and who has both the desire and work ethic to provide a high standard of care for our patients.
Completion of a formal small animal internship or 2 to 5 years clinical experience preferred, but all graduate veterinarians will be considered.
