Rural Electric Supply Cooperative (RESCO), is a wholesale distributor of high voltage electrical products. As a member-owned organization, we provide electric cooperatives and utilities in the Upper Midwest with competitive pricing, delivery and support for their electrical supply needs. We are a mid-size organization with under 100 employees in eight states and are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Moorhead, MN. This position will be responsible for developing and executing the long and short-term sales strategy for the areas of Montana, North and South Dakota and Minnesota to effectively serve our members and manufacturing partners. Responsibilities include:
- Supervise inside and outside sales staff.
- Travel with outside sales and other management staff to customers and various events.
- Coordinate all sales and marketing activities in region.
- Attend statewide electric cooperative events to develop relationships with our members and non-members.
- Communicate our business model to customers and manufacturing partners.
- Monitor and communicate changes in the marketplace such as product opportunities.
- Develop product promotions with manufacturer partners.
- Aid in presenting the alliance partnership ideas to customers.
- Work closely with IT department to offer IT related solutions/integrations with customers.
- Recommend, communicate and monitor performance goals.
- Manage sales and expenses to meet budget.
- Analyze sales data to help make strategic recommendations.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience in and knowledge of the electric utility industry/products is preferred. Other qualifications include:
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize work
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
