Dean College's Office of Academic Affairs is looking for dynamic and student centered educators to participate in its Fall 2018 academic term as adjunct professors and lecturers. Focused on experiential learning, and active engagement, adjuncts chosen to teach at Dean will create a charismatic and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds.
Adjunct Positions for The School of Business (Entertainment, Management, Sport Management, Communications, Marketing):
Principles of Management - Focus on corporate culture, organizational structures, performance management/leadership
Principles of Marketing - Focus on principles of marketing strategies, wholesale distribution, pricing policies and government control policies
Marketing Analytics - Addresses the practice of managing and studying data to determine the return on investment of marketing
Organizational Management - Focuses on social and legal concepts important to business, planning and business strategies, business writing skills and behavioral trends in business
Organizational Behavior - Examines human behavior in organizations at the individual and group levels
Law, Sport and Entertainment - Reviews representation of the professional athlete in contract negotiations endorsements, and related intellectual property
Media Writing - Communications Course focused on the development of writing skills for radio, television, film and emerging media
Economics (Macro and Micro) - Introduces the functions of individual decision makers, consumers and producers, to the larger economic system
Sport Management - Focus on the professional field of sport management and administration, and its place in society
Financial and Managerial Accounting - Examines the managerial applications of accounting principles with an emphasis on volume cost profit analysis, budgeting and control, performance and evaluation
Human Resources Management - Focus on the concepts of the service profit chain, and the human resources function in an organization
Team Sports - Theory and Practice - Introduces the fundamentals of the teaching and practice of team sports, including equipment management and safety concerns.
A Master's Degree in the chosen or related discipline is required, and working knowledge of classroom management systems, such as Moodle, MyCourses or Blackboard are required. Demonstrated success in college classroom teaching is preferred.

The Dean College Athletics Department is a Provisional Division III member of the NCAA and competes as a member of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), and the USCAA and complies with all NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations.
